Weight: Because the kirk bar mounts to the frame, the rear legs are longer. This has an increase in weight over the autopower bar. According to this honda-tech thread, the kirk bar weighs approximately 71lbs where as the autpower 52lbs. I felt the compromise in weight for design was "worth it" for my needs.

That attempted failed - you really need two sets of hands to get the main hoop in the car. The main differences between the two is the Kirk harness bar is welded and the legs have two bolts each vs. one each on the Autopower bar, I was able to keep the rear ah isht handles... and the Kirk bar is about $75 less than Autopower's bar.
