Each KIRKEY RACING seat has been designed and engineered with CAD-CAM and built using CNC cutting Tables, CNC folding brakes and the latest in welding technology. All seats are made from 5052 grade aluminum which is then MIG and TIG welded. Within our product range we use .080, .100 and .125 thick aluminum.

Posted March 10, 2007. The seat has a back brace but Im alot taller than the previous owner. I built a new seat bracket that lowered the seat down and set it back several inches but in doing so I changed the mounting location of the back brace.

Hey, it touches, lol. I have the seat mounted with 8 grade 8 bolts on the bracket, the 4 stock locations and 4 new locations to the seat bottom. I Mounted 2 side bracket seat mounts with 4 more bolts in the side of the seat. The seat isn't going anywhere. I also installed a Simpson 5 pt. racing harness, using grade 8 bolts on it as well.

Local Time: 1:16 AM. It's hard to see what's going on but its 1/8X2 plate to the floor (for a flat surface) with 1/8X1/2 angle, cut at 45 degrees then another plate tying the tops of the angle in with holes for the seat to bolt to. The other side is the same but I built the lean right into the mount instead of using the brackets.
