yea i cant play the swoop racing in kotor 2 its a lot harder with being forced to jump over the obstacles it was way easier in kotor 1 took me a few tries but i did it. I never liked the swoop racing in Kotor 2. I used to race in 1. In both games it is advisable to save scum. Save, race and reload if you don't get the time you need. Racing, like Pazaak is largely optional in this game. You can make vastly more money than you will need from selling the huge amount of stuff you find along the way.

I installed Kotor 2 with the last version of TSLRCM (1.8.3b) and M4-78EP 1.1B. Everytime I start a swoop race game on Telos, my bike is stuck in the roof and I'm not able to win the race. I know that this bug was fixed in the officials patchs and I saw a post from a moderator saying that all officials patchs are already included in the game.
