There just so happens to be a number 1 plate on a KX 500 ridden by Destry Abbott in the AMA Nation Hare Scrambles. There are multiple KXs still raced in the District 37 and National H&H races. The main reason the KX left Baja is the death of Danny Hammel in '95. The XR in faster on the top end, they both handle like a battle ship.
