Power comes from a 2000 Yamaha R1 motorcycle engine. Transmission is the Yamaha 6 speed with new wet clutch pack.

It's started 1000's of enthusiasts around the world building these cars. Man, just look at the results of some of the established Super7 clone builders. Caterham, Westfield, Dax... The bike engine machines are just monsters. Dax made a turbo Hyabusa engined machine that is just a monster. 0-60 in 3.8 seconds IIRC.

I agree with the posts above, a Miata engine absolutely 100% makes the most sense today. Most people are familiar with them.
