1951 - MANZANITA SPEEDWAY Originally a dog racing track known as Manzanita Park, It was converted to a 1/4 mile dirt stock car track in 1951, The first race meeting was held on the 25th of August 1951. In 1954 Manzanita had added a 1/2 mile dirt circuit to the venue and opened the new track with a 25 hour marathon race.
