Marcos has been synonymous with racing since its conception in 1959, and continues to the present day in all forms of motorsport including Historics, Hill Climbs, and GT. The very first Marcos models were built purely as race cars to compete in the 750 Motor Club events, drivers included Jackie Stewart, Bill Moss and Jackie Oliver. Snetterton 1961

Cor Euser will be back in the Dutch Supercar Challenge with his LM600 (backed by the Mortiz duo in their Mantis) from Silverstone on 4th April, but the Topcats Mantises have already been out at Brands Hatch on 13th March for a 150 minute race.

Marcos' racing business was sold to long time GT sponsor Eurotech, a Dutch engineering firm. At this stage all racing cars and road car chassis were being built in Holland, with road car assembly completed in Westbury, albeit with a much reduced staff. 2001: Marcos road car operation liquidated, but then resurrected by Marcos Heritage.

The Marcos cars 1959 - 2007

The Mantis name was first used when Marcos decided to build a true sportsracing car. and the Mantis 4 seater. The car was built to accomodate the BRM-Repco V8 and was, to date, Marcos' only mid-engined car. The car was angular, borrowing a few styling hints from the Adams' Probes.

Eurotech Racing bought Cor Euser’s LM600 EVO that crashed at Spa-Francorchamps in 2004 and rebuilt it in time for the 2006 season. Since 1996, a total of 53 Mantis racing cars and 78 road cars were built. (2006) Marcos LM600 and BRL In 2006, Eurotech Racing successfully participated once again in the Belgian Racing Car Championship (Belcar).
