    http://onemanz.com/guitar/martin-guitar-soundboard-bracing/
Martin guitars come with a variety of bracing patterns that are by no means created equal. Several years ago, Martin simplified the public spec sheets of their entire catalog of guitars and ukuleles, removing pertinent …

This lightweight bracing pattern gives the 1-series a terrific bass response, but because there are no diagonal braces, slightly less complexity of tone, especially in the treble range. Let's take a look at the real innovation here: This is the A-frame part of the system.

Martin bracing styles : X, A and Hybrid Undoubtedly the most popular bracing pattern Martin uses is their 'X' bracing. Found on the majority of Martin instruments, the X bracing was first developed in the 1850s. This 'X' …

Taylor Advanced Performance bracing - The Unofficial Martin …

Taylor has always been experimental as opposed to Martin being traditional. Yes, bracing (voicing) does matter, but a guitar is more than a collection of design features (sum of it's parts). There's no mystique here. Taylor and others manufacturers, can and do emulate Martin's structure and materials with greater or lesser degrees of success.

MARTIN BRACING LIBRARY - The Unofficial Martin Guitar …

    https://umgf.com/martin-bracing-library-t847.html
There has been much discussion on the UMGF over the years about bracing positions (and lay-out), but the total picture is still far from clear. The idea is to collect all possible bracing patterns and positions Martin has used from approx. 1833 until now. Quite a project, so I …

Martin Back Braces - The Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum

The taller braces can be carved from 3/4" to about 1/2" tall, which duplicates the stiffness of the wider, lower bracing. I have carved down a few, and Bryan Kimsey has probably done a lot more. It's pretty easy to do a before/after comparison. The taller braces were first used on 1930's Martin archtops, which had an exaggerated back arching.

Why does Martin use Adirondak braces? - The Unofficial Martin …

    https://umgf.com/why-does-martin-use-adirondak-braces-t32853.html
At the time Martin decided to use adi braces on the GE series etc., they most likely did not know it was sitka on the oldies (i.e. thirties models; the real oldies might have adi). Only after the WW 2, they changed to sitka for tops, so sitka for braces earlier on doesn't seem logical. Also, you don't need thick trees for bracewood.

Advanced Jumbo - The Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum

    https://umgf.com/advanced-jumbo-t196934.html
I started a thread last spring about the soundhole/ bracing layout on the Advanced Jumbo. I got some great info, and some amazing plans from Willi. I thought I'd add to the thread, but it seems to have been lost in last summer's EZboard crash, along with the rest of the archive. Did anyone happen to save a copy, like I should have?
