The track opened on September 14, 1958, with Chuck Daigh of Long Beach, Calif., winning a 115.5-mile sports car event on the 12-turn, 3.3 mile course. Daigh, in a Scarab, defeated Lance Reventlow in a “sist er” car to Daigh’s. Chuck Rickert in a Porsche 550 finished third, followed by John Haas and John Stover.

Welcome to Meadowdale Raceways, later known as Meadowdale International Raceway. This track was in operation from between 1958 to 1969 and with this conversion I've tried to capture how it looked early in it's life in the late 50s and early 60s. It features a large banked corner called the Monza Wall, some huge elevation changes, and lots of flowing corners.

Meadowdale Raceway was built in 1958 north of Carpentersville, Illinois, to attract development to the suburbs of Chicago. It is located at the intersection of Illinois Route 31 and Huntley Road. At the time the track was built, Carpentersville was a very small industrial town on the Fox River that was just beginning to see the effects of the post-war housing boom in the United States.
