I bought a Megan Racing header, 4-2-1 and got it installed by (outkast95ls) and it seems like the header Megan makes aren't too great. I've seen a bunch of iffy things about these low priced headers. I bought it because of the price and I completely regret getting them. They don't fit too well, there is a leak at every connecting point.

my reasons for selecting this particular Megan Racing header was: 1. I knew I wanted 4-2-1. 2. I knew I wanted SS. 3. I knew I wanted a reasonable price. One would think, that if they advertise/sell a part for a specific application, it would have been fitted, & tested to avoid fitment or performance issues.

The Megan header is a pile of garbage. I've installed two personally and seen a few others fail first hand. They leak from the factory and have inconsistent fitment as well as shoddy weld quality. On top of that, Megan does very little R&D so you're really not guaranteed to make consistent power.

they are fine. the h-tech ones only get you what? like 6whp. a header is a header for a bolt-on honda. hell even the dc headers will put out about the same gains. you're only gonna get 4whp at best from it and that isn't even a noticeable amount of power. just get the megan header and call it a day 1 - 6 of 6 Posts Recommended Reading

MEGAN: 6-7hp Greddy: 9-12hp Mugen: 10-15hp. But thats just my guess. I doubt we will ever see anyone truly complete a good header test. Unless it was myself and I dont think I have anywhere near the funds nor time to go out and buy these headers and test them all on my car. But man , that would = some great reading comparisons for a lifetime.

cliff: megan race header is very comparable to BCRH as far as performance. fitment is a bit off since the header hanger doesn't fit. megan header is longer than stock so exhaust tip sticks out a bit more. Megan racing didn't send my any of the gaskets that were supposed to come with the race header, i talk to megan racing directly and they said that was weird, and that they would be more than happy to ship some out, he also said that they recommend using the oem exhaust gasket that connects to the head.
