They are 3/4" tall aluminum guards and the deflectors fit their contour perfectly. Mounting is super easy- 4 screws with a phillips head screwdriver. And, if by chance the mounting clamps ever break, you can always zip-tie the deflectors to your handguards temporarily. My only complaint is the big Moose stickers ("M").
