If the ai pit the same, it's tire wear that is causing the early pitting. Lower the [ ai_track ] ai_tire_wear_left = x.xx & ai_tire_wear_right = x.xx values. If the ai now do more laps before pitting you'll need to adjust the ai_fuel_use = x.xx to achieve the results you're looking for.

Re: INI editing tips. ai_grip changes the AI speed ALL around the track. ai_accel changes the AI speed out of corners and at the restart. ai_decel changes the AI speed into the corners. ai_drag changes the AI speed down the straights. This is more important at tracks over 1 mile in length, but works for short tracks too.
