April 4, 2012 • Larry Lawrence Mid-America Raceway, in Wentzville, Missouri, once hosted an AMA road race national in the mid-1960s. The MCRA club racing group ran races there in the 1970s and into the early 1980s. This photo is from a MCRA/WERA race at Mid-America in 1984. It was one of the final motorcycle road races at the track.

Posted: Oct/10/2009 at 6:27pm. Thought I would share a few cool old photos my buddy found that he had from August 1971 at Mid America Raceway in Wentzville ,Mo. Some great old pics. The track opened in 1963 and closed around 2005. MAR as it was known was the site for the second SCCA TransAm race in the spring of 1966. The first one was in Sebring.
