When iRacing was released back in 2008, the Solstice was meant to be the rookie car. Then Pontiac died (RIP I <3 my G8) and iRacing was left supporting a car from a defunct brand. Then the MX-5 came in to replace the Solstice. The Solstice was out-of-service for a few years until around 2015 or so they added the car to the Production Car Challenge.

If the revs aren't right on during the downshift it's like it just goes into neutral instead of completing the shift. I do use the clutch when I downshift in the MX-5 but it was very forgiving when downshifting as long as I wasn't going too fast. Maybe this car requires heel-toe to drive properly.
