Can You Ride Enduro on a Hardtail? – Brainy Biker
https://brainybiker.com/can-you-ride-enduro-on-a-hardtail/
Riding enduro on a hardtail is fun but has a disadvantage – the rear wheel can’t get as much traction (it’s bouncing around) and thus the rider has to be more careful when choosing a line. The result is reduced confidence and speed. People competing on a hardtail will be at a disadvantage. Hardtails are cheaper and more versatile.

Enduro racing is a hybrid sport, but the timed aspects of it are almost all downhill. There aren't any specific rules (yet) against hard tails, although a few events may dictate no hardtails for their race specifically.

Enduro on a hard tail I’m thinking about doing the pisgah enduro this summer, but I’ve got a hard tail with 100 mm of travel. It’s definitely not stock and has all the cliché upgrades like a dropper, wider bars, better wheels, and better rubber.
r/MTB - Enduro hardtail? Should I buy one for racing?

There's a reason people don't do enduro races on hardtails or even worse downhill. A full suspension bike is much better for these types of riding. A full suspension bike has much better grip on steep trails due to the rear suspension. If you are serious about racing get a full suspension, if you are just riding for fun go ahead with the hardtail.
