Without FMVSS approval which is equal to our Canadian CMVSS (209 I believe?) standard, harnesses are illegal. This is federal law. There are no street legal 5 point harnesses. As I understand there are 2 companies with compliant 4 point ASM harnesses and one is supplying the other. Schroth and Takata Racing, Schroth being the manufacturer.
