Weight: Racing Ralph: 636g , Rocket Ron: 621g, however it can vary slightly from tyre to tyre. The non-Snakeskin, Pace Star, version is 40-50g lighter. Verdict: Both Racing Ralph and Rocket Ron performed flawlessly, providing a lot of grip in …
rocket Ron or racing Ralph for rear? | Mountain Bike Reviews Forum

Ralph rolls faster. It grips better when leaned hard and weighted than the Rocket Ron. The only place the Rocket Ron is better is grip when unweighted and upright (think straightline braking as well as a non-comitted cornering style.) Sometime the Ron is nice as a rear since it allows slightly better braking traction, and will break away a bit easier when leaned in …

Schwalbe MTB Tire Guide: Which Is Right For You? [Video]

Rocket Ron: The last offering in the XC area, the Rocket Ron features taller tread and a more overall spaced out pattern than the Racing Ralph. This will be the best XC tire option when the terrain is loose or wet. While it’s commonly used up front on XC bikes, this is not a bad option to be used front and rear or in the rear of a trail bike.

IMHO, Rocket Rons's have about as much grip as a person could really ever need. I dont think I've ever broken one loose unless I was doing something really stupid. The Racing Ralph has about 80% of the grip but about 30% lower rolling resistance. I personally split the difference with a Ron up front and a Ralph rear.

Hi peeps Does anyone have experience with the new Schwalbe Racing Ralph’s or Rocket Ron’s. I currently run Maxxis ardent race upfront and Maxxis Ikon on the rear and I like the ride feel of the combination. I’m very interested in the Watts saved by changing to the Schwalbes and by reviews the potential grams saved and better puncture resistance. I know the …
racing ralph + rocket ron to nobby nic? snakeskin vs. volume

Problems: 2.1 rocket is thinner than 2.1 ralph, so at least need bigger ron up front; I love the rounder profile of the rons, really dig in and grip, but hate the fragility; looking for more durablility and compliace (can run lower pressure), especially …
