Spindles - CorteX Racing
https://cortexracing.com/suspension/spindles/
The spindle and hub assembly is the interface between the suspension and the wheels and tires. Without proper attention to geometry, a drop spindle to lower the stance may actually worsen the car handling. A properly designed suspension can only do its job if the spindle has the correct geometry and can effectively transfer the load.

Modern Spindle Geometry Design Practices - Eng-Tips

I have one of each spindle here before me right now and the mustang steering axis is about 20-25mm behind the spindle axis (reducing mechanical trail) however, the C4 spindle is about 0.75 inch in front (adding to the mechanical trail). This sounds like a complete reversal of design philosophies or am I missing something. -Joest

Understanding and Adjusting Front-end Geometry
http://www.packetfilter.com/kartaddict/tech/Chassis_Alignment/frontend_geometry.htm
As with all racing vehicles, correctly and accurately set front-end geometry is vital to get the most out of any kart. Handling, grip, tyre wear and even acceleration can be adversely affected by poor settings caused by neglect, damaged / worn components, and most commonly by inaccurate or inadequate alignment methods or technique.

The torque around the length of that spindle is what gives you what feels like torque steer.” Camber The most basic measurements that influence steering are the alignment parameters. Most OEMs play it safe in the name of tire wear, liability, and forgiving driving characteristics. The first and most often questioned of these is camber.

The (1) Stub-Axle, (2) n shaped Yoke, (3) King-Pin Post make up the essential parts of the steering. The King-Pin Post is attached/welded to the chassis. The n shaped Yoke pivots/hinges on the King-Pin Post. The Stub-Axle is attached to the n shaped Yoke. These three parts are welded/attached at various angles to make steering easier on a kart.
King Pin Inclination – Geometry Explained – Suspension …
https://suspensionsecrets.co.uk/king-pin-inclination/
On current suspension systems, the kingpin is set at an angle to the vertical plane when viewed from the front or rear of the vehicle. This angle is known as the king pin inclination. The purpose of the KPI is to produce vertical displacement of the vehicle in during steering in an upward direction. The larger the KPI, the larger the effect. This lifting effect produces a self …
