Anyway the look I came up with is much like David Pearsons stripes on his white Pontiac around 1961. That is....... two thin stripes about 8 inches apart. Down the center of the hood. no stripes were standard. There were special gray stripes, and special black stripes, but nothing that I know of OEM that faded. Sir William's Fleet Mean 2007 NA 2007 Solstice ordered on 8/24/06 - Picked up on 12/12/06 - Totaled on 6/12/10 Mean 2008 GXP Acquired 6/21/10 with 1275 miles on it - Summer Solstice !

I have thought that the Solstice would be the perfect car to add racing stripes to since someone here or the other Solstice site posted a photoshop image adding stripes. The thought of using tape or some stick-on kit does not sit well with me. I will check on the price for a set of painted stripes with clearcoat after I get the car.

I advise going to a muscle car forum and asking about applying decal stripes to cars.
