Windows have to be up...it's a safety rule...keeps your head and arms inside in the event of a crash. I don't see how it's going to do that....you'll go thru the glass. You didn't hear this from me........but I say have them rolled up when in the staging lanes....and maybe roll them down a bit before you launch or after you've launched.

Up is faster -- right up until the point you get a black flag for having your windows up. Like Chris says, you drive on a track with your windows down for a few different safety reasons. The biggest is being able to get out of the car if it's on fire after a crash.
