Also, it may be better to slide the water in a tank rather than pump it long distances. Although, the 59' foiler Hydroptere does pump water ballast from the rudder all the way out to the maximum of the 80' beam. But sliding ballast would probably work a lot faster and speed of movement will be more important on monohull.

Waterballast is a pain in the arse when retrofitted so it can't be dropped with gravity and has to be pumped uphill by hand taking 400 pumps per tack. Water ballast without pressure release or over fill protection = blown out tanks. Canting keels are fun for acrobatics when anchored awaiting races to start.
