Only show this user. I've only played with ignition timing on 2 different Raptors. The 1st had Sparks Single, Dynojet Ignition Module, 12.5 JE Piston, HC3, +3 TB, Pro Design Intake, PC3, E85. I'll post the dyno sheet on that one. I saw nice improvements adding 10 degrees from 6500 rpm on up.

Holr the cam in the bearing journal, reach into the tensioner with whatever is handy and push it till the chain is just snug. You can let go at this point, tension won't change and the cam stays in the journals. Put a finger or two on the cam and turn the motor over two turns, reinspect the timing marks and chain tension and your done. Save.
