2,266 Posts #2 · Sep 14, 2004 I have always heard that when running street tires, you should air the fronts up to 45 PSI, for less rolling resistance, and then drop the rears to 25-30 PSI to help hook a little better. I've done that and also left regular pressure in street tires and never really noticed much of a difference.

I have MP4S and for daily I run 38/39psi front and 36/37psi rear. At the drag strip I tend to run best between 27 and 29 psi at mid boost while it's building. Most of my runs are in the 1.7' for 60'. To get in the 1.6's 60' consistently you have to have good new tires and or a well prepped track that lets you run in the groove.
