RICHARD PHILLIPS. Born close to Epsom racecourse, Richard knew from the age of five years old that he wanted to be a racehorse trainer. Riding ponies and show jumpers through his teenage years, he was Head Boy at St Andrews School, Leatherhead and went on to gain a distinction in stud and stable management at Witney College.

Friday 13th May, 2022. Off to Newbury today to saddle Flying Dragon in the 3.50pm. He won well on his last run in the autumn but has been off since with a splint. He has gone up in the handicap for his win but once again, Jonny Peate takes off seven pounds and hopefully he will run well and we look forward to stepping him up in trip in the future.
