I think taking the DR650 on a race would be fun, but also possibly dangerous depending on how tough the race route and conditions are versus your skill level. As others pointed out 360 pounds vs 200-250 lbs (not to mention weight:hp ratio) is a massive speed disadvantage; it's also a lot more painful if it lands on you.
