Motorcycle racing at Sellicks Beach, South Australia, was a major event throughout the 1920s, 40s and 50s. After the idea of resurrecting the event gained traction in recent years, the Levis MCC sprang into action, now hosting an historic meeting bi-annually which invites riders to race down the sand on motorcycles built before 1962.

RIDER PROFILE Royce Rowe began his motorcycling life on dirt, finding his bearings on a Suzuki JR80 at a large open property in the Riverland. It didn’t take long for him to make the inevitable switch to tarmac at the age of 13, entering racing in the junior class on board a Honda CBR150.

ROWE RACING ranks amongst the most successful teams in the big VLN starting field. The team from Bubenheim has been able to score two overall victories, three further results on the podium and the total of 10 positions in the top ten so far in the current season.
