Back in the late 1970's Roy was racing flat bottom drag boats. I was there at a race and saw that with my own eyes, no rumor. His boat was first class in every way. The man was a racer by any measure. 1960 Plymouth 383 Sonic Ram dual 4 barrels then 426R short block swapped in, LOL ! 2003 Vette 12.5 @110mph. 2012 then 2018 Challenger. tlc Save Reply

Famed guitarist Roy Clark, who made numerous TV appearances including a stint as co-host of Hee Haw from 1969 to 1971 and numerous guest-host gigs for The Tonight Show, has died at the age of 85. Generally less well-known than his hot guitar-picking was his record of racing Mopars. Mecum Auctions sold this car in May.
