Socal Supermoto started in 2010 with a pickup truck, a couple of DRZ400’s and a TW200. The idea was always to expose other riders to this discipline of riding as well as teaching the basic fundamentals of riding a motorcycle in a fun and safer setting. There was a supermoto race at Qualcomm stadium. Mike was kind enough to be my umbrella boy for it. I forced him to leave is tube top and g-string at home. The day started at 5AM for the drive down to San Diego. The race consisted of 2 practice sessions. One qualifying session. One 10 lap heat race and a 15 lap main race. Each lap is 1.2 miles.
