My Quadangle frame is 01 84 0443. That would make it a Cr-Mo frame from 1984? I bought it new in December 1984, and the frame had a Reynolds 531 sticker on the toptube. Maybe it was like with the Rippers - they had a big box of stamped dropouts at the factory that they would take from, and a Cr-Mo dropout was used on my Reynolds frame?

Your serial number is 03 85 (not 05) 3354. Which means March of 85, frame number 3354. The Reynolds Quads ran from late 82 to mid 85 (all known as 83 and 84 frames). 85 frames were changed in mid year on the PK and Quad both. As far as the first pic, it is an early 90's frame. Notice it still has caliper brakes and 1" threaded forks. Quote STR-1

Brian Hays. As I've said 8 million times, PK serial numbers mean jack shit. If it was a 79-84 looptail then the serial will tell you what year but nothing else. 1985 frames had a one year only serial sequence so it's easy. 1986-1999 PK frames all had serials PKxxxx. These meant absolutely nothing.

The serial number for these quads is located on the outside of the rear dropout, crank side. The serial should have '83' or '84' etc in it......that is unless the serial was grounded off!
