As I was not comfortable with the racing school I requested a refund which was immediately rejected. I just concluded an email trail with Scott Hartinger at the new SB (post chapter 11). Scott offered a full credit of my certificate ($1695), as long as I spend an additional $1695 for a more expensive program.

I did the Intro to Racing school. A 3 hour course from 8am-11am. I've got a good deal of experience driving on tracks (including Laguna Seca) along with autocross. Bottom line is it was awful. The classroom instructor was a big goofball that thought everything he said should be a joke. This is very poor prep before sending people out on track.

The Skip Barber racing school definitely stepped it up for lunch. It was delicious every day. This was also a good time to meet your classmates. There was a wide diversity of people and experiences across both the 1-day and 3-day students. There was a mother and son pair who had never been on a track before.

I'm considering doing the Skip Barber racing school at Laguna Seca because I've got a 20% off offer. What puts me off is the reputation they had a few years back when they went bankrupt for cancelling events, having shoddy classes, etc... Searching for any info on the internet brings up horrible reviews from 2016-2017 era and not much else.
