Sonic &SEGA All Stars Racing game works ok with 2 players. The second player is prompted to join, accept/A is pressed and it works. With transformed, the prompt to join does not work when accept/A is pressed. #5.

If I recall correctly, you can indeed have two players to the same device for in-game controls. Menu controls requires you to have 1 device per player (so you'll need a controller or any other input device to be used as a menu controller for the second player).
