Érablière sectoir lies on the far left - a great wall of ice. Gets sun from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. 15 minutes from the car. Well stomped out trail. The middle section, home to Quatres Etoile, is the quietest sector. Hasn’t seen action this year, and needs a trail stomped out to the base. The namesake climb looks to be in “good” shape.

Now ice racing has become an almost annual (and weather dependent) tradition in Minden. The only other ice racing track in Ontario is in Thunder Bay, meaning the Minden Fairgrounds track is the only track in southern Ontario for racing enthusiasts. Ice racing events were cancelled last year, as Ontario’s battle with the pandemic worsened.

Ice Racing Classes Currently the NASCC runs 6 different classes at it’s ice racing events. For full details on these classes please read the Ice Race Supplemental Regulations for complete regulations. NS CLASS (No-Stud) This class is for two wheel drive cars running normal DOT approved unstudded tires. Also called “Rubber-to-Ice”.

Center Ice Arena is located at 201 S. Plum Avenue, in the city of Ontario, California. The facility houses a single, NHL sized (85 feet x 200) sheet of ice and offers a variety of programs from public skating, figure skating to hockey teams and leagues. We are the proud home rink for the The Empire Hockey Club (youth travel hockey).
