The octree tends to be quite sparse (For Sponza, the occupancy is about 3-4% (and it tends to be groupped) so there tends to be quite a lot of empty nodes even higher in the hierarchy. Although this might not be general rule for any scene. Anyways, time to do some coding. Thanks!
