Lots of guys were using soft packs when I was racing 1/8 electric. I always used hard case for everything. My 4S pack was the SMC 5200 50C+ that I purchased through SPC. Just fit underneath my RC8Be body. Had insane power with the RX8/1900 T8 combo. We ran 10 minute mains and my pack usually read between 3.6-3.8 per cell afterwards.

So, I was told the balljoint assembly on my left SPC "Light Racing" upper control arm has "excessive" play after 19,900 miles. I was told by SPC they should last as long as the OEM UCAs. SPC offered to replace the defective part, however, they WILL NOT cover the labor to replace the balljoint assembly.
