Riverdale Raceway – Visit Mt St Helens

Practice starts at 9 am and ends at 4 pm. The cost is $30 per rider. Camping is free if you ride, and there is no cost to spectators during practice. Gate fee for races is usually $10 per person. In the 1960s the track circumference was 410 yards and was owned by the St Helens Greyhound Racing and Sports Stadium Ltd. Race days were Tuesday and Friday evenings at 7.45pm with an 'Inside hare' system and photo finish installed. The main race distance was 487 yards and facilities included two refreshment bars and a licensed bar.

The 25K gives runners a real Mt. St. Helens experience without having to run all the way around the volcano. This course includes some of the iconic features of the longer race – boulder fields, the Loowit trail, jaw-dropping views of the mountain and the surrounding Cascades, and lush forests. There’s 3,300 feet of gain and loss.

The course includes the Loowit trail, some boulder fields, a fun cushy downhill, a debris flow, and woodsy trails. The race involves 3,300 feet of gain and loss. There is no pre-requisite for the 25K, like there is for the 50K.
