Starlite Speedway was the site of just one race for the Cup Series: the 1966 Independent 250, which was held on May 13th of that year. Hylton won the pole with a speed of 65.099 mph and Darel Dieringer, driving the #0 Ford, won the race, the only car on the lead lap in a field of 25 cars. 2500 people were in attendance.
