I set it originally in my maiden name, Sylvia Read. The car was originally called "Mother Trucker," but I was not allowed to keep the name.

Ms Hauser, 64, of Lansbury Drive, Hayes, retired from racing in 1986 and now breeds Pomeranian dogs, and recently campaigned to keep open the London Motor Museum in Hayes. Mr Travis, of Mentmore, Bucks – real name David Patrick Griffin – was cleared of 12 counts of indecent assault.

Geof founded "Hauser Race Cars" in 1983 and built a new car for the 1985 season, a state of the art Ford Sierra Super Gasser. Sylvia won the Super Gas Championship that year and Geof picked up the Best Prepared Car trophy. The Sierra was badly damaged in a top end crash at the 1986 Summernationals.
