In memoriam: Ted Foltz, Hill Climb racing champion Services for Glenn “Ted” Foltz, a long-time Westsider best known as a Pikes Peak Auto Hill Climb racer, were Sept. 23 at Fairview Cemetery. Foltz, 81, passed away at home Sept. 17. He was born March 1, 1933, in Long Beach, California, to Glen and Phyllis Foltz.

Ted Foltz 2013 Inductee, F When Ted was 13 years old he would sit on the curb and watch the open wheel race cars drive up Colorado Avenue on race day. This was in the 1940’s, before they were required to use trailers to transport the cars. That was when he decided he wanted to drive a race car up Pikes Peak someday.
