Terps Racing is composed of two teams: Formula SAE and Baja SAE. Formula SAE is an intercollegiate competition that challenges students to design, build, and race a formula style race car. Baja SAE has a similar competition structure to formula, but the goal is to design, build, and race an off-road vehicle that will survive the severe punishment of rough terrain.

The Terps Racing Baja SAE team recently returned from a friendly endurance practice race called "Midnight Mayhem" in southern Indiana. Hosted by the University of Louisville's Baja Team, the event was a full four-hour endurance race held at the Podium1 Motocross track. Approximately 20 teams attended bringing 32 cars in total.
