Torin is a chinese brand, but unfortunately unless your spending hundreds or even thousands, American made racing jacks are hard to find. Their quality control from what I've been reading seems to be hit and miss. But mine has been fine. Materials and machine work don't feel cheap to me. Everything is tight fitting and works as it should.

They have a 3 ton low-profile jack w/ 3 ton stands on sale for $75 in their Spring 2008 mailed catalog. I could even save the $60 on shipping by picking up at the nearest store.
