For use in the TR 5 Triumph enlarged the cylinder capacity up to 2498 cc., fitted a more racy camshaft and petrol injection. Result was that they gained 60 bhp. to the standard engine, enough for the engine to be used in a sports car like the TR 5. The TR 5 is built on a separate chassis with independent suspension all round.
