The Triumph TR 3 was uprated twice during the entire production period. In 1957 the car became a wider grille, door handles on the outside and slightly recessed headlamps and was named TR 3a then. In 1960-61 the cylinder capacity was enlarged to 2138 cc. giving a capacity of 104 bhp. and extra torque.
