Yesterday, I was in my local Riebes (Napa) getting parts for my truck, and noticed they had several 5-gallon pails of Sunoco race fuel for sale. 113 Octane and "103 Motor/octane, oxygenated fuel". I was in a hurry and the counter guy was no help, so I didn't research it more. Seems to me the "103" is similar/same as VP U4.4?

The oxygenated fuels from VP like: C-44,MR-2 ,MR-9 U4,U-4.2(new version),U-2 ,etc.....many who do not know better are not really aware ,quite often of the potential hazards. Oxygen is usually introduced to these fuels by nasty stuff like MTBE,Propylene oxide,ethylene oxide,etc..or mixtures of the above that are not always listed.
