If the two pedals are on different axes, you can use joystick gremlin to combine them into one axis. The only advantage rudder pedals have is that you can't push them both forwards at the same time, but if you make a conscious effort to step on only one at a time, it might work for you.

Yes they do work. I used to use my G27 pedals as rudder until i got my combat pedals. If you push with 1 foot you just need to remember to let off with the other or the 2 axis will be fighting against each other. They give you toe braking and a more realistic foot action. With rudder pedals you generally push back one foot when you push the other forward. It´s a bit weird but you get used to it. btw do you have a good joystick. Joysticks are more versatile then yokes. If you are just going to fly big boeings and such of course get the yoke.

If you press the gas pedal it goes to 100% (thus right) and if you press the clutch pedal it goes to 0% (thus left). If you press both at once they cancel out and it is 50% again (same as letting go of both pedals). The brake I set to brake axis left + right. It works perfectly, except for having no toe brake.
