There are three types of Valvoline racing oils: VR1 conventional, VR1 synthetic, and NSL (Not Street Legal). I've seen NSL in well-stocked parts stores that cater to racers. The NAPA in Battle Creek has it. VR1 conventional is basically VWB with extra zddp. VR1 synthetic is basically Synpower with extra zddp and blue dye.

Now when i open the box its not VR1! its a Valvoline oil 10w30 but it says in big letters "NOT STREET LEGAL". They are black bottles and when i read the back of it, it says something about having more zinc and friction modifiers. It says passenger cars should use this because it will mess up the cats overtime and cars with clutches.
