According to VP fuels website: “ The length of time the fuel will stay fresh in a sealed drum depends on the fuel itself. A non-oxygenated fuel such as C12 should be used within a couple years. I'll ask him to contact VP, but maybe someone here has the answer. Any race fuel , including alcohol and nitro , has a realistic shelf life of approx. 1 year . Depends on the temperature swings it went through , how often the cap was removed and for how long , how tightly the cap was replaced , whether it was stored in metal drum or plastic jug , etc .
