A driver has died after crashing his friend's car into a tyre wall at Queensland Raceway at Willowbank, west of Brisbane. The 68-year-old was racing at a closed mid-week meet when he failed to negotiate a bend and drove head-on into a tyre barrier about 2:30pm.
